Andy Grolnick

Graylog appointed Andy Grolnick, the longtime CEO of security information and event management giant LogRhythm, as its new chief executive, taking over from Logan Wray, who is retiring after serving in the position for more than three years.

Grolnick took over as LogRhythm’s president and CEO in 2005—two years after the company was founded—and raised $126.3 million through seven rounds of outside funding before selling the SIEM mainstay to Thoma Bravo in July 2018 for a reported $525 million, according to Momentum Cyber.

“Having served as CEO of LogRhythm for more than a decade, Andy has deep, inside knowledge of the log management business,” Wray said in a statement. “His strategic vision and his ability to execute are a winning combination for Graylog as it enters into its next phase of growth.”
