Gartner UCaaS Magic Quadrant: The Top 12 Vendors In 2019 As AT&T, Verizon And Others Are Dropped From Report

The 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant UcaaS report this year includes only players that have UCaaS software application stacks, so seven longtime UCaaS Magic Quadrant providers were dropped this year as four new providers joined.

And The Winners Are … 

Gartner's 2019 Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service is hot off the presses, and this year the research firm has changed things up. The 2019 report only includes include UCaaS software application stacks, meaning the players that run UCaaS stacks in their networks were dropped from the report, including longtime UCaaS Magic Quadrant rankers AT&T, NTT, West and Verizon, among others. One the other hand, four new entrants joined the ranks, including Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE), Dialpad, Logmein and Windstream.

Despite the shakeup, Cisco Systems and Microsoft stayed at the top of the pack. But what was unique to the UCaaS space this year was the maturity of voice in the cloud, UCaaS performance management tools, and meetings offering a better user experience, Gartner found. Everything is also becoming more integrated as businesses look to tie other IT tools—such as contact centers, CRM and analytics—to UC and collaboration offerings.

Here are the results of the 2019 UCaaS Magic Quadrant and how the providers fared, with Gartner reporting each provider’s strengths and weaknesses.
