Challenger: Logmein

Logmein is no stranger to the conferencing market and the company expanded into UCaaS in 2018 when it acquired Jive Communications for $342 million. The Boston-based company does about 40 percent of its business through channel partners and is a new addition to this year's Magic Quadrant.

LogMeIn’s core UCaaS portfolio consists of GoToConnect, which is a combination of its GoToMeeting service and Jive cloud enterprise telephony. GoToConnect offers telephony, content sharing, audio and video meetings, and team messaging. Desktop and mobile applications are available with support for iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. The company also provides two contact center offerings as part of its UCaaS portfolio: Jive Contact Center and Nice inContact.

Strengths: The company has more than 15 years in the videoconferencing and audio conferencing space. GoToMeeting features are mature and well-suited for external meeting participants, and the offering is priced competitively.

Weaknesses: LogMeIn is still integrating assets from its Jive acquisition into GoToConnect. The majority of the company's base of voice customers are based in North America, with less than 5 percent of LogMeIn's business coming from outside North America.
