Keerti Melkote: Aruba Instant On Is A $3 Billion Market Opportunity For Partners

Keerti Melkote, co-founder and president of Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, says the company’s new Instant On Wi-Fi product for small businesses opens up as much as a $3 billion market opportunity for partners.

A New ‘Enterprise Grade’ Wi-Fi Product For Small Businesses

Aruba made the decision to enter the small business Wi-Fi market because it was simply “too big an opportunity for us to ignore,” said Aruba co-founder and president Keerti Melkote.

Besides that, Melkote said, there was simply no one offering an enterprise grade Wi-Fi product for small businesses.

“We felt that the feature set we built for enterprises is what small businesses want to take advantage of from the analytics and the value you get to the security,” he said. “These are all enterprise class features that small businesses are beginning to crave and look for as opposed to simple Wi-Fi connectivity.”

The Aruba Instant On product, which is targeted at businesses with 100 or fewer employees, provides the ‘enterprise grade’ security and analytics that competitors like Ubiquiti, Netgear and D-Link cannot match, said Melkote.

“What we hear is customers are tired of basically throwing money away at good enough,” said Melkote, the driving force behind Aruba’s mobile first, cloud first wireless enterprise networking product that reshaped the enterprise networking market. “This is business critical now and they want to make sure they have robust capabilities and robust quality.”
