RingCentral Channel Chief On Partner-Driven Enterprise Success And 'The Golden Age' Of UCaaS
‘Customers are transitioning off a very old technology into a very new technology that offers them a tremendous benefit. It's easy for me to call it the product of the century and it’s the golden age of opportunity for UCaaS,’ RingCentral channel leader Zane Long tells CRN.
What is your message to partners?
It's still early days when you think about the penetration of UCaaS into the marketplace. What we are talking about to partners is changing way they go to market to match this new world of cloud and software and trust and have faith that our partner program will continue to work to their benefit as customers are proactively going to partners to request education in UCaaS. We want partners to maximize their income and success in this space. For partners, the cloud means money faster and not having to wait for a two-year implementation that doesn't happen. In software, the moment the customer signs the contract they become activated and we compensation the partner. It's a whole new world and as we go forward, we are stressing that piece of it - learning and understanding the new way of doing business.
