Emerging Vendors 2018: Cybersecurity Companies You Need To Know

Playing Defense

Security breaches, ransomware attacks and other cybersecurity incidents continue to make headlines. So it's no surprise that security is one of the most active segments of the IT industry in terms of startup activity.

Venture capital and private equity firms poured $7.6 billion in 548 deals into cybersecurity technology startups in 2017, according to PitchBook Data. That's twice the $3.8 billion given to cybersecurity companies in 467 deals in 2016.
