NetApp: Cloud Front And Center

NetApp has put the cloud at the heart of its strategy. Indeed, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based hybrid cloud data services company is taking care to make sure all its storage offerings from all-flash arrays to software have integrated connections to the cloud.

That move is key to the company's Data Fabric architecture which was developed to allow quick, easy, and automated migration of data between on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid cloud infrastructures. The last year or so has seen Data Fabric move from a vision to an actual working architecture on which most of -- if not all -- NetApp's new and future hardware, software, and services will be built.

The last few months have also seen NetApp introduce and enhance several new technologies that further advance its cloud-centric data management strategy. Solution providers attending NetApp Insight the week of Oct. 23 can expect to learn more about several new key offerings including MAX Data, Ontap AI, Cloud Volumes Ontap, HCI, and other new technologies.

But to get the ball rolling, CRN takes a look at five key NetApp moves to watch for at the conference.
