5. Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Dollar Share: 5.5%

San Jose, Calif.-based Hewlett Packard Enterprise took home fifth place in terms of hyper-converged dollar share with 5.5 percent in the second quarter, up from 3.1 percent share during the same quarter one year ago. HPE generated just over $7 million in HCI sales via the channel in North America during the second quarter 2019, up from $4.5 million year over year.

HPE had two of the most popular hyper-converged systems sold during the quarter. HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen10 was the fourth best-selling HCI product during the quarter, while HPE Synergy NIC was the tenth highest selling system in the market. Last year, HPE CEO Antonio Neri told CRN that his company’s HCI portfolio is on pace to be more than a $1 billion business.
