Dollar Share: 6.1%

Hyper-converged and data management specialist Cohesity generated a total of $7.8 million HCI sales during the second quarter, representing a 165 percent spike in revenue year over year. The San Jose, Calif.-based company captured 6.1 percent dollar share, up from 2.1 percent share in the second quarter of 2018.

In May, Cohesity unveiled its first-ever acquisition with the purchase Imanis Data, a developer of enterpriser backup and data management technology for distributed databases including Hadoop and NoSQL. On the innovation front, the company recently release Cohesity CyberScan, a new application that leverages backup data to assess the vulnerabilities and risk posture of an enterprise’s IT environment.
