Accelerating Agentic AI Time-to-Value
AI agents are no longer just a concept, they’re becoming a cornerstone of enterprise marketing, and solution providers are taking notice. In an interview with CRNtv, Shafqat Islam, president of Optimizely, revealed how agentic AI is reshaping enterprise marketing, and why solution providers should pay close attention to its real-world impact.
“Our customers are primarily large enterprise marketing organizations or digital organizations,” Islam said. “I personally think the biggest opportunity for agents across the enterprise… is within marketing.” He emphasized that AI agents can automate repetitive tasks, freeing marketers to focus on creativity and customer experience.
Optimizely’s AI offering, Opal, is built on Google’s Gemini platform. Islam noted, “Our laser focus is how do we make Opal agent production ready, creating business value that can be measured in hard dollar ROI for our customers.” He praised Gemini’s technical sophistication and flexibility, adding, “We think Gemini is the best platform and the best model to build on.”
The partnership also streamlines procurement. “Can you reduce the friction in the buying process?” Islam said, quoting CMOs. “Can you make it easier for me to procure from the marketplace so that my procurement team's happy?”
From content creation to testing and optimization, Optimizely’s agentic AI is designed to autonomously manage the entire marketing lifecycle, delivering measurable value to solution providers and their clients.
