Comcast Business And Nitel Are Better Together

Comcast Business has significantly enhanced its enterprise services footprint with the strategic acquisition of Nitel, a Chicago-based Network‑as-a‑Service (NaaS) and managed services provider.

The purchase, completed in April, brings Nitel’s expertise in advanced connectivity, cloud and cybersecurity into Comcast’s enterprise portfolio, and expands reach into verticals such as financial services, healthcare and education, among Nitel’s approximately 6,600 clients.

This positions Comcast Business to better serve enterprise clients by combining its longstanding connectivity foundation with Nitel’s agile digital tools and channel-first‑ orientation. At its core, the acquisition furthers Comcast’s ambition to amplify its managed services offerings and boost indirect sales through channel partners.

“All the goodness that was there with Nitel, is still there,” says VP & Channel Chief Matt Fassnacht. “Everything you loved about Nitel and Comcast is still available to you, and the ability to bring both of them together really allows you to get to the table for those discussions that involve a little bit more complexity.”

Creating tangible and unique value

In July 2025, Comcast formalized the integration by merging Nitel’s channel sales organization into its own. And their new partner-centric structure offers faster quoting and an expanded range of connectivity, cybersecurity and cloud solutions – providing partners with network visibility and performance insights in a user-friendly interface.

“With Comcast Business and Nitel’s channel programs officially coming together,” continues Gaige Flint, Executive Director Channel Marketing, “we’re incredibly excited and believe that we’re bringing, frankly, the best network and coupling it with a commitment to create the best experience.

“This new partnership will prioritize the ease of doing business, the superior experience between clients and customers and the scale and sophistication that Comcast Business brings to everything Nitel does specific to the channel.”

“You don’t have to cobble together a solution like you had to in the past,” concludes Matt Fassnacht. “We have the ability to provide something truly complete, and it’s such a good opportunity for partners.

“There’s really no reason why a channel partner should do business with anyone else.”
