Huntress Doubles Down on MSP-Centric Security at XChange Security 2025

At the July 2025 XChange Security conference, Jeremy Young, community growth strategist at Huntress, delivered a keynote that underscored the company’s unwavering commitment to MSPs and its evolving role in the cybersecurity landscape.

“Huntress is free for internal use for MSPs,” Young declared early in his talk, setting the tone for a presentation focused on accessibility, operational efficiency and purpose-built security. Reflecting on his journey since joining Huntress in 2019, Young emphasized the company’s transformation from an incident response firm to a full-fledged security platform. “We’ve grown into a platform for products … all good enough to be used in their own right as a standalone offering,” he said.

A major announcement during the keynote was the launch of identity disablement and re-enablement for Active Directory sync identities, a long-requested feature for Huntress Managed ITDR. “This is a game changer,” Young said. “If this is a feature you’ve been waiting for, it’s time to take a look.”

Young also addressed the broader challenges MSPs face with other security vendors. “Most vendors weren’t made for you. They make you do all the work,” he said. “We’ve built our solutions specifically for organizations like yours from the ground up.”

With Huntress claiming a reported false positive rate of just 0.7 percent as reported by their EDR customers, the aim is to reduce alert fatigue and improve profitability for MSPs. “Your EBITDA goes down every time a security tool generates a false alarm,” Young warned. “Using Huntress reduces your cost of managing security for your clients.”

He closed with a call to action: “Stop trying to date vendors that aren’t that into you. Marry the vendors … whose mission aligns with your mission and their financial backers mission aligns with both of your missions.”
