CRNtv host Sydney Neely spoke with Renee Lang, global product marketing manager for data center solutions at Panduit, and Dipin Jain, senior product manager for power solutions, about the launch and the opportunities it brings to the channel.
Sydney: Renee, to start off, why is this launch such an exciting moment for partners, and what kinds of opportunities does it open up for their business?
Renee: This is a pivotal moment because the EL2P PDU is not just another PDU. It is a leap forward in intelligent power. For our partners, it opens more opportunities in core, edge, and micro-edge environments. It is a product that is easy to position, faster to deploy, and more relevant to today's data centers top challenges.
With features like a 360-degree rotatable cord inlet, smart auto-rotating screen, and advanced security, partners can deliver a differentiated solution that simplifies installs and enhances manageability. It supports both traditional and next-generation infrastructure and serves as a gateway to deeper conversations into critical power, infrastructure upgrades, and a full rack solution.
Sydney: You mentioned the importance of addressing partner needs. Why was it so critical to collaborate with companies like Dell, Cisco, and leading installers when developing the EL2P?
Renee: We knew that for EL2P to truly stand out, it had to solve real-world challenges, not just have great technical specifications. That is why we worked closely with strategic partners like Dell and Cisco, along with key integrators and installers. Their feedback focused our efforts on what really matters most in the field.
That input helped us zero in on faster installs, easier cable management, fewer support calls, and smarter power at the edge. It shaped important features like outlet rotation, screen usability, and cord flexibility. It also ensured that the EL2P PDU fits seamlessly into partner-led architectures, whether it is a Cisco-powered network or a Dell-managed rack.
Sydney: That collaboration has clearly shaped the product. Dipin, from a practical standpoint, what resources and tools are you offering to help partners sell, deploy, and manage these solutions successfully?
Dipin: Tools are extremely important and paramount to Panduit. We have built an entire ecosystem around the EL2P to make it easier for partners to succeed. That includes spec sheets, interactive product selectors, installation videos, and solution guides that outline every component needed for a full rack power deployment.
The EL2P is also integrated into our training programs, webinars, and certification modules so partner sales and technical teams can ramp up quickly.
On the deployment side, features like dual 1G networking, an intuitive auto-rotating touchscreen, and step-by-step how-to videos reduce the learning curve, saving time in the field and post-sale. And we back it up with fully staffed Level 2 and Level 3 technical support when needed.
Sydney: With all of that in place, how does EL2P help partners position themselves as trusted advisors, especially in securing and monitoring modern data centers?
