Synology Targets Enterprise Storage Gap with New All-Flash System at COMPUTEX

Synology’s competitive shift in the channel-driven market signals a new bid to help partners deliver more value in enterprise solutions

The latest developments in AI and next-gen technology were on full display at COMPUTEX 2026 as more than 1,500 exhibitors gathered in Taipei, Taiwan. Synology, a leading solutions provider for data storage and backup solutions, made a splash debuting PAS7700, its first active-active NVMe all-flash storage system, with a pointed message: enterprise-grade infrastructure shouldn’t be reserved for customers who can afford legacy pricing.

Synology Adds to Enterprise Storage Lineup

Featuring dual-active controller nodes and an all-flash NVMe architecture PAS7700 delivers 2M IOPs on 4k random reads and 30GB/s sequential throughput. Continuing the channel-first strategy Synology debuted with its ActiveProtect BCDR appliance earlier this year, PAS7700 will be available exclusively through the channel.

“The PAS7700 represents a new chapter for Synology. For years, businesses looking for high-performance storage have had limited choices,” said Will Davis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Synology America. “We’re bringing a fresh approach to the market by combining enterprise-class performance with the simplicity, reliability, and accessibility that Synology is known for. We believe customers deserve a modern alternative that delivers enterprise-class performance without the complexity and cost traditionally associated with it.”

Addressing AI And Shifting Infrastructure Priorities

As AI workloads continue to accelerate data growth, organizations are actively reevaluating infrastructure priorities to balance performance demands against rising cloud costs and concerns about data control. Seeing this shift in the market, Synology is continuing to offer solutions with simplified management and operational efficiency with performance built for today’s demanding workloads.

Built For Mission-Critical Systems

PAS7700 targets always-on workloads including AI inference, VDI and EDA simulation. Its active-active architecture runs both controllers simultaneously, eliminating the single point of failure inherent in traditional active-standby designs. The launch reflects Synology’s broader push to give channel partners a credible entry point into enterprise accounts, backed by more than 25 years of infrastructure experience and a go-to-market structure built around partner success.
