Customer Modernization With Dell And Davenport Group

Partners are under pressure to help customers modernize infrastructure and the workplace while managing tighter budgets and lean IT teams. At Dell Technologies World, CRNtv host Kena Johnson spoke with Kristy Wilke, VP of Sales and Marketing, Davenport Group, to discuss how the Dell partnership is shaping customer outcomes.

Kena Johnson: Davenport Group has worked with Dell for a long time. How do you use that partnership to deliver results for your customers?

Kristy Wilke: We have been partners with Dell for close to 20 years. Davenport Group really excels at customer relationships and understanding business needs, but you need the right technology behind that. We believe Dell offers a true full stack approach. Instead of working across multiple vendors and solutions, being able to centralize that with Dell Technologies has been huge for us. It gives our customers one full stack to work with rather than piecing everything together, and that has been a real value add.

Kena Johnson: How are you helping midmarket customers modernize their workspaces with Dell?

Kristy Wilke: Midmarket customers have the same demands to modernize as large enterprises. Dell has done a great job bringing enterprise-class technologies to a place where those customers can actually use them. When you combine what Dell is doing with the services and ongoing support Davenport Group provides, we can help customers move from previous-generation technology into a modern infrastructure. That includes on-prem, cloud, and hybrid options. It allows that enterprise approach to work at the midmarket level.

Kena Johnson: Storage is a big part of that modernization. How are you using PowerStore to simplify things for customers?

Kristy Wilke: PowerStore has been a great product because it really is a set it and forget it solution. Midmarket customers often have limited resources and limited budgets. They need something they can plug in, turn on, and trust without spending a lot of time managing it. That has been a big benefit for our customers.

Kena Johnson: How does that fit into the broader solutions you are delivering?

Kristy Wilke: When we look at the full solution, partnering with companies like AMD helps drive higher utilization in server and compute, paired with PowerStore storage. It is a seamless solution that is easy to manage. It gives customers more time to work on the business instead of in the business.
