Dell And Intel: Empowering The Future With Secure, AI-Ready Solutions

The Windows 10 end-of-service is causing a major refresh cycle, and for solution providers, it’s a chance to deliver modern, secure, AI-ready devices that meet evolving customer needs. In an exclusive interview with CRNtv, Sarah Wieskus, general manager, commercial client and datacenter sales at Intel, shared how the Dell and Intel partnership is helping partners capitalize on this moment.

“This is an opportunity for our partners to really sell up the stack and get their customers onto modern hardware,” Wieskus said. With AI workloads becoming more common, she emphasized the importance of future-proofing infrastructure. “Many of our customers are going to keep this technology in their infrastructure 3, 4, 5 years. So, there's a future-proof to AI message that I think is also very important.”

Wieskus noted that the refresh opportunity extends well beyond the October 14 deadline. Devices deployed during the COVID era are aging out and often lack the capability to support AI. “There’s a huge opportunity even after October 14 for refresh to happen in a commercial environment,” she said. “That provides a sell-up opportunity for many of our partners.”

Security is another critical factor. “AI is making attackers more sophisticated with their attacks, but AI at the same time is also enabling Intel and Dell to make a more secure platform,” Wieskus explained. She cited public vulnerability data showing Intel’s advantage: “Our nearest competitor has 4X the vulnerability as we do and they left 78 SKUs unpatched last year.”

Intel’s AIPC portfolio also opens doors for partners to expand software and services revenue. From remote out-of-band management via Intel vPro to connectivity analytics embedded in Intel Wi-Fi, partners can deliver lifecycle management, disaster recovery and security services. “AIPC enables a lot of awesome software and security and services revenue opportunities for our partners,” Wieskus said.
