Inside PTC’s Channel Strategy For AI Growth

AI and automation are reshaping how industrial organizations operate, but many solution providers are still working to turn that momentum into repeatable, profitable outcomes. As PTC sharpens its focus on partner led growth, CRNtv host Kena Johnson speaks with Kimberly King, Chief Partner Officer at PTC, about AI adoption, automation and why partners are central to the company’s strategy.

Kena Johnson: AI and automation are reshaping industrial organizations, and your appointment as chief partner officer signals a key moment for PTC. What does this role represent for partners?

Kimberly King: From my perspective, it signals a commitment to our partners. Having more than 28 years of experience just in channel and partnering, all culminating in this role at PTC, allows me to combine my experience with the newest technology to help transform our partners business and drive the right outcomes for our customers. Our goal is to simplify and make it more predictable and more profitable. Then the next phase is driving that scaled outcome-driven ecosystem that delivers measurable value to customers and drives accelerated growth for partners and PTC.

Kena Johnson: Many partners are still struggling to adopt AI at scale. What challenges are you seeing right now?

Kimberly King: AI is the number one topic on all partners’ minds and we are leaning into AI with our partner community that helps support the use cases and all the frameworks currently under development for our partners. We understand that fragmented tools and unclear integration paths create complexity.

Kena Johnson: How is PTC helping partners move past that complexity and deliver real outcomes?

Kimberly King: Helping partners to understand their customers and then the outcomes that those customers want and using them to drive that growth, with PTC packaging the AI driven use cases in repeatable solutions partners can deliver and build on.

Kena Johnson: Strategic alliances play a big role here. How are Microsoft, NVIDIA and GSIs accelerating this effort?

Kimberly King: When we think about Microsoft providing the cloud, AI and marketplace foundation for scaled joint go to market, NVIDIA really helps us accelerate advanced visualization, simulation and AI-driven digital twins. And then when we bring that all together with our GSI community, we take that industry expertise and global delivery capacity to ensure successful outcomes for our customers.

Kena Johnson: What’s the core message you want partners to hear right now?

Kimberly King: At PTC, we believe that partners aren't part of the strategy. They are our strategy.
