Inside The Fortinet And Liquid Networx Partnership For Innovation And Impact

If you’re in the channel and not talking to your customers about Fortinet, Robert Short has a clear warning: You might be underserving them.

“Fortinet has been an instrumental partner in recent revenue growth, but more importantly, in relevance with our clients,” said Short, vice president of Liquid Networx. “They lead in so many categories now with Gartner. I think it’s just hard to ignore. And if you’re not talking to your customers about the Fortinet suite of solutions, I think you’re really missing out and most importantly, you might be underservicing your customers.”

The partnership between Fortinet and Liquid Networx started with SD-WAN but quickly expanded as customer needs changed—and so did Fortinet’s portfolio. Today, Liquid Networx leverages more than 60 Fortinet products to build secure, simplified, and scalable solutions.

Short highlighted a recent success with a banking client. “They had three appliances, you know, a couple belong to the network team and one belonged to the security team. And by leveraging Fortinet’s capabilities on their FortiGates, we were able to condense that down to a single appliance, but still give each respective team the controls required. They felt comfortable with it and we reduced the physical footprint, but more importantly, we simplified the environment.”

“AI is the biggest buzzword on the planet,” Short added. “Fortinet is actually giving you a solution you can implement that goes beyond buzzwords.”

To partners, Short offers this advice: “If I were a VAR and I was starting on this journey, I would seriously look at Fortinet as an opportunity not only to help your customers, but I would also look at Fortinet as an opportunity to simplify your own service offerings and give you a streamlined offering that your team can become specialists and experts in, which will ultimately drive revenue and protect your customers to the fullest.”
