Pax8 Signals An AI Inflection Point For MSPs

At NexGen in Houston, Pax8 vice president of channel and community engagement Eric Torres scrapped his prepared keynote to spotlight how managed service providers are applying artificial intelligence in real-world scenarios.

“Listening to other MSPs and hearing how they’re actually applying this is way more valuable than anything that I can share with you,” Torres said, introducing a panel of industry leaders: Sandy McGrath, co-founder and president of MIPGlobal; Zac Paulson, director of product and strategy at ABM Technology Group; and Christopher Stock, chief technology officer at Infinite IT Solutions.

Paulson said the biggest benefit is efficiency. “Getting some time back on the menial tasks… Steve Brown spoke a lot about getting the suck out of your job.”

Stock emphasized that success will hinge on both technical and business skills. “Those who can understand our customers’ businesses and then find operational efficiencies and technology solutions or AI solutions… they’re going to skyrocket.”

McGrath noted that many clients aren’t ready for AI without foundational work. “Once we start talking to them, you very quickly find out that there are so many MSP projects that have to get done in terms of security, data cleanup.”

Torres closed by promoting Pax8’s Managed Intelligence Playbook, designed to help MSPs at any stage of their AI journey. “We have written an entire playbook… to help every MSP, regardless of what stage of this journey you are on.”
