One of the key topics of discussion at Ingram Micro ONE was how automation and cybersecurity can work together to accelerate channel success. Through a strategic collaboration, Proofpoint and Ingram Micro are enabling partners to deliver human-centric security solutions at scale while leveraging Ingram Micro’s Xvantage platform for speed and simplicity.
“This partnership gives partners the ability to act independently of Proofpoint,” said Chari Rhoades, VP, Americas channel and partner sales at Proofpoint. “It’s an opportunity for them to self-service pricing and ordering around our solutions. This allows them to respond quickly to customer needs and build out solutions in real time.”
Eric Kohl, VP, global vendor engagement at Ingram Micro, emphasized the impact on execution. “Previously, when partners worked with Proofpoint, it could take a couple of days to get pricing,” Kohl said. “Now they can log into Xvantage immediately, see their pricing without guesswork and establish quotes on the spot. Partners love that it’s easy, fast and keeps them closely aligned with our commercial sales team.”
The collaboration also accelerates complex sales cycles. “Think about sitting down with a health care system to discuss cyber risks,” Rhoades explained. “While you’re having that conversation, you can generate a quote for a multi-solution approach in minutes. That’s happening now.”
AI was another hot topic at the event. “We’re using AI in our products to address new threats, including AI agents that are part of the workforce,” Rhoades said. “We’re also supporting partners who leverage AI to enable their sellers. Real-time insights help sellers make the right recommendations and stay relevant to customers.”
