The Partner Portal Built To Power Sales

The power protection market is gaining momentum as customers place greater emphasis on uptime, business continuity and infrastructure resilience. According to Coherent Market Insights, the surge protection devices market is growing at more than 9 percent annually and is projected to surpass $8 billion by 2034. For managed service providers, value added resellers and other channel partners, that growth presents an opportunity to expand services and address a critical customer need.

CyberPower and longtime partner World Data Products say the combination of increasing technology dependence and growing power reliability concerns is creating new opportunities for solution providers that can help customers protect their IT environments.

CyberPower Expands Partner Resources

Matthew Rathbun, senior director of channel sales at CyberPower, said the company continues to invest in channel programs designed to help partners win business and strengthen customer relationships.

“While CyberPower has built a reputation on quality power protection products and excellent customer service, it's our partner centric approach that sets CyberPower apart in the channel,” Rathbun said.

CyberPower manufactures uninterruptible power supplies, surge protectors, power distribution units (PDUs) and related accessories. Through its Channel Partner Alliance program, partners gain access to discounts, deal registration, dedicated account managers and rewards incentives.

The company recently expanded its partner training resources after surveying users of its partner portal. Feedback showed strong satisfaction with the platform, but partners requested additional education and training opportunities.

New Training Focuses on Sales and Product Education

In response, CyberPower launched a new learning management system that provides single sign-on access to expanded training content covering power protection concepts, product education and sales strategies.

The updated platform includes progress tracking, flexible course completion options and additional opportunities for partners to earn rewards points for completed training.

Rathbun said the goal is to make it easier for partners to access resources that help close deals while building long-term expertise in power protection solutions.

Channel Support Helps Drive Customer Success

For World Data Products, vendor support remains one of the biggest differentiators.

Scott Berry, senior networking account manager from World Data Products, said the company has partnered with CyberPower for more than 15 years and values the vendor’s responsiveness when customers face urgent challenges.

“What I appreciate the most about what CyberPower does is simply the way they do business. They're good people. They make great products and great prices,” Berry said.

Berry recalled an incident in which a local customer unexpectedly lost battery backup protection during a deployment. Working with CyberPower and distribution partners, replacement equipment was secured within hours.

“Customer service like that really made the customer happy and they rewarded us with a complete CyberPower refresh at all their data centers,” Berry said.

Partner Program Delivers Additional Benefits

Berry said the Channel Partner Alliance provides benefits beyond product sales, including training resources, stackable discounts, reward points and direct access to dedicated channel support.

“If someone asks me if I'd recommend CyberPower in their partner program, I'd definitely say yes,” Berry said.

As customer demand for power protection continues to grow, both companies see an opportunity for solution providers to expand their offerings while helping customers reduce risk and improve operational continuity.
