Why Digital Equity Helps Partners Grow With Purpose

HP is making digital equity a core part of its business strategy, driving both social impact and growth. In a recent interview with CRNtv, Michele Malejki, global head of social impact at HP and executive director of the HP Foundation, emphasized the urgency and opportunity for solution providers to engage in closing the digital divide.

“Digital equity is a part of HP's strategic priority,” said Malejki. “We see digital equity in the work that we do in this space as really not just a responsibility, but frankly as something that is a business driver for us. In fact, it's so much so that it's a real part of our DNA.”

HP’s commitment is clear: since 2021, the company has aimed to reach 150 million people by 2030. The HP Amplify Impact program has already helped partners achieve a 70 percent increase in win rates and a twofold rise in sustainable sales year over year. “Digital equity is a growth engine, and it will remain a growth engine,” Malejki explained. “We will make sure to continue to open doors for connected populations as much as try to focus on disconnected communities as well to think about emerging markets.”

For solution providers, the message is simple: “There is never a time when it's too late to get started. I think that's the power of partnership and ecosystems coming together.”
