Cybercrime damages could cost companies six trillion dollars each year by 2021, according to Cybersecurity Ventures’ Official Annual Cybercrime Report.

One solution provider is fighting back. You can, too.

Solution provider Justin Jackson knows cybercriminal activity is one of the biggest challenges his customers will face.

“With what we’ve seen in the news, and all the recent breaches, it’s really brought it to the forefront. Bad actors actually sit and wait for a little bit, hop in an email and intercept wires, wire transfers and things like that,” says Jackson, CTO at Advanced Computer Solutions Group.

His company is transitioning from an MSP to an MSSP, and he has two must-haves for security success. Number one is using the technology you sell to your customers. “What we sell to our customers is actually what we use,” says Jackson. “We have a full lab in our office where we actually vet everything to make sure it’s going to fit our market, fit the need for our customer, and be reliable as well. You wouldn’t want to bring a new product to a customer, and then it’s not reliable.”

Another part of ensuring that reliability is working with a security vendor he trusts. “We’re a big Fortinet partner. We love the products: the FortiAnalyzer, the FortiSIEM, which is a security incidents and events manager. We also do their endpoint management. And, they also have an EMS, so now, they’re starting to get into that space. Fortinet has been able to consistently deliver a very solid product, security-focused and also be budget-conscious,” says Jackson.

Jackson consistently turns to Fortinet, because it offers affordability, ease-of-use and support from local channel reps. When you decide to transition to an MSSP, you should look for those traits, too.
