United Partner Experience: A Partner Program That Follows Through

Vendors should deliver on the promises of their partner programs. CRN has recognized Kaspersky for having one of the best partner programs in the channel.

Many cybersecurity vendors claim to have partner programs that will grow your business and improve your margins, but only a select few partner programs earn CRN recognition.

CRN’s Partner Program Guide bestowed the new Kaspersky United Partner Program with a five-star rating, highlighting it as one of the strongest partner programs in the channel today.

“The United Partner Program for Kaspersky was designed to really better enable our channel partners according to their specific core competencies,” says Robert Cataldo, vice president of enterprise sales at Kaspersky Lab North America.

“We wanted our partners to not have to adapt to our program, but have our program adapt to them,” says Matthew Courchesne, head of SMB and channel sales at Kaspersky Lab North America.

Partner feedback sparked the reinvention of Kaspersky’s partner program, which now includes a centralized, easy-to-navigate partner portal.

Partners can build on their specific strengths by earning specializations in Kaspersky Hybrid Cloud Security, Kaspersky Threat Intelligence, Kaspersky Fraud Prevention, Kaspersky Threat Management and Defense, Kaspersky Industrial Cybersecurity or Kaspersky Security Awareness. “Those six allow our partners to take specialized trainings to differentiate themselves,” says Courchesne. “When we have customers that are looking to us to protect a particular area of their business, these partners would come up as experts.”

The Kaspersky United Partner Program also offers training programs tailored to each partner to give them a deeper understanding of the market and what customers want. “It’s really not just educating our customers on our products and our offerings but educating them on the space,” says Courchesne. “In the end, we need to help them grow, so we can grow together.”

Kaspersky partners can earn 30 percent more on their margins, plus increase growth potential by working up the tier system as a registered, silver, gold or platinum partner.
