XChange: Tech Elite Awards Reward VARs' Investments, Methodology

Everything Channel issued its first Tech Elite Awards at XChange Solution Provider in Orlando, Fla., acknowledging the efforts of six solution providers for their investments in technology certifications and solutions methodology, traits that put them at the top of the technology solutions pyramid.

Virtualization Elite: GreenPages Technology Solutions

GreenPages, a Kittery, Maine-based solution provider, was named the Virtualization Elite partner for 2011. Accepting the award is CEO Ron Dupler, (center), from Everything Channel's Kelley Damore and Steve Burke. VMware has also been named GreenPages its U.S. solution provider of the year and CEO Partner Executive MVP.

"[GreenPages] has invested more than $10 million in the last several years to make the transition from product-oriented reseller to Tech Elite superstar. When you think Virtualization, you think of them," Damore said during the ceremony.

Services Elite: International Computerware (ICI)

The Services Elite award was presented to ICI, which has been named Service Provider of the Year from EMC and is only one of 50 companies to hold VCDX certifications from VMware.

"This company's unique nCubed solutions methodology has made it a trusted strategic advisor to its customers. They are always pushing the technology envelope," said Burke in the ceremony.

Networking Elite: INX

Steve Kaplan, (center), vice president of data center virtualization practice, accepts the Networking Elite award from Kelley Damore and Steve Burke. Dallas-based INX has a Strategic Delivery Framework, which guarantees better business impact with lower risk.

"Its clients consistently praise the company for delivering game-changing business results with a 100 percent on budget, on time track record," said Damore.

Storage Elite: AdvizeX Technologies

The Storage Elite award went to AdvizeX Technologies, an Independence, Ohio-based VAR. John Brier, vice president of technology solutions, (middle), accepts the award.

"This company's technical excellence has customers scrambling to become what it calls customers for life. For the last several years, the company has added over 200 new customers a year to its client roster," Burke said. "They have also won numerous industry awards and have invested millions of dollars in their own solutions methodology including a patent pending knowledge management tool."

Security Elite: Force 3

Force 3, a Crofton, Md.-based VAR, took home the award for Security Elite solution provider. Rocky Cintron, (center), president and CEO, accepted the award from CRN's Kelley Damore and Steve Burke.

"This company, which has won Cisco's Federal Security Partner of the Year for four consecutive years, has invested heavily in its own value sales methodology that has paid off in numerous technology breakthroughs," said Damore. " In fact, that value metholodogy led to the development of an Active Defense Platform security application that is turning the heads of its vendor partners and some of the largest technology integrators in the country."

Editor's Choice: Nexus Information Systems

The final award of the night went to Dan Evans, CEO of Nexus Information Systems.

The 23-year-old company headquartered in Minnetonka, Minn., has become well known to vendors and customers for identifying game-changing technology shifts before they happen and making sure its clients get big bang business impact from those technology transitions.

"The company's 'proof of concept' technology model backed up by its multimillion dollar technology lab and a mobile demo lab on wheels have won it raves from customers," said Burke. "The company's CEO goes to great lengths to make sure that both its clients and employees know how much they are appreciated."
