IoT Week 2019

For IoT Week 2019, CRN is diving deep into emerging IoT vendors that are turning to the channel for growth, security challenges in the industrial IoT space, the “wild west” that is IoT connectivity, IoT distribution strategies and the changing dynamics within industrial IoT.

IoT Week 2019

The Internet of Things is unstoppable. Case in point: a new report by research firm IDC projects that there will be 41.6 billion connected IoT devices in the world by 2025, producing a whopping 79.4 zettabytes of data. In contrast, Ericsson forecasts that the number of smartphone subscriptions will reach 7.1 billion by 2024, demonstrating the immense scale IoT has over traditional mobile devices.

"As the market continues to mature, IoT increasingly becomes the fabric enabling the exchange of information from 'things,’ people, and processes,” Carrie MacGillivray, group vice president of IoT, 5G and mobility at IDC, said in a statement. "Understanding the amount of data created from the myriad of connected devices allows organizations and vendors to build solutions that can scale in this accelerating data-driven IoT market."

For IoT Week 2019, CRN is diving deep into emerging IoT vendors that are turning to the channel for growth, security challenges in the industrial IoT space, the “wild west” that is IoT connectivity, IoT distribution strategies and the changing dynamics within industrial IoT.
