OnForce Names CTO

Gaddipati will be responsible for leading technical strategy and implementation at OnForce, including the addition of new capabilities and the expansion of the OnForce marketplace into new service areas, according to the New York-based company.

He joins OnForce from Upromise Investments, a technology services provider for 529 plan administration and recordkeeping that he helped to build, according to OnForce. He served as CTO and senior vice president at Upromise.

Gaddipati's appointment follows the hiring of Peter Cannone as OnForce's CEO in January. Previously senior vice president of sales and marketing at PC Connection, Cannone replaced Kevin Gilroy, who left OnForce to become president of Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions.

OnForce said the addition of Gaddipati comes as the company launches its MarketView Index marketplace research tool.

Available free at www.onforce.com/marketview, the tool provides a picture of the national, regional and local landscape of on-site IT services. Users can see a state-by-state view of vital statistics, including provider coverage, recent pricing averages and work order acceptance times. They also can filter data by technology category to see the information that helps them price, win and fulfill rollout projects, managed service contracts or large-scale IT upgrades, OnForce said.

"As this industry continues to evolve, it is critical for service buyers and providers to have real-time access to industry trends and data," Gaddipati said in a statement.
