Topping this week’s Came to Win list is SentinelOne for its savvy acquisition in the security data analytics space.

Also making the list are IoT security startup Armis for an impressive funding round that doubles the company’s valuation, new ServiceNow consulting services and solutions provider Thirdera for its launch, and HP Inc. for debuting a program to help channel partners with diversity and sustainability issues. And HCL is on the list for surpassing the $10 billion annual revenue threshold – and providing generous bonuses to the employees that made it happen.

SentinelOne To Buy Data Analytics Firm Scalyr For $155 Million

Cybersecurity provider SentinelOne struck an acquisition deal this week to buy Scalyr, a developer of big data analytics technology, in a move that will make it possible for SentinelOne’s platform to ingest massive amounts of machine and application data in real time.

The ability to collect, analyze, understand and act on such data is key to cybersecurity today, according to SentinelOne executives. SentinelOne plans to integrate Scalyr’s capabilities into SentinelOne’s endpoint security platform over the next few months.

In addition to boosting the capabilities of the SentinelOne system, the acquisition also will provide SentinelOne’s channel partners with a broader product set to work with, including Scalyr’s log management and event data cloud offerings.

IoT Security Startup Armis Doubles Valuation To $2B With $125 Funding Round

Internet of Things startup Armis has doubled its valuation to $2 billion in less than a year after the company this week announced a new round of funding that raised $125 million.

Armis, which has its sights set on an initial public offering in the not-too-distant future, plans to use the new funding to expand into new business opportunities in health care, manufacturing and retail.

The funding round, led by Brookfield Technology Partners, brings Armis’ total financing to $300 million. CEO Yevgeny Dibrov said an additional benefit of the Brookfield relationship is that it creates opportunities for Armis to sell its agentless device security platform to more than 100 Brookfield-owned businesses in manufacturing, health care, retail, renewable energy and real estate.

Newly Launched Thirdera Looks To Lead In The ServiceNow Solutions Arena

The ServiceNow channel has a major new player this week after the launch of Thirdera, a consulting services and solutions provider that aims to offer the most comprehensive lineup of solutions and services focused exclusively on the ServiceNow platform.

Thirdera will provide consulting, administrative, technical and development services around the ServiceNow workflow platform.

Thirdera was created by private equity firm Sunstone Partners of San Mateo, Calif., through the combination of three recently acquired solution providers in the ServiceNow space: Evergreen Systems, an elite-level ServiceNow partner based in Leesburg, Va.; Cerna Solutions, also an elite ServiceNow partner headquartered in San Marcos, Calif.; and Novo/Scale, a premier-level ServiceNow partner based in Miami, Fla.

The new company’s executive ranks include CEO Jason Wojahn (pictured) and board chairman Marc Talluto – both veterans of the ServiceNow market.

Thirdera will be competing with such giants as DXC Technology and NTT Data Services that have ServiceNow practices. But the company says it has the advantage of being the largest independent strategic services provider focused exclusively on ServiceNow.

HP Launches Amplify Impact Program To Assist Partners With Diversity And Sustainability

HP Inc. deserves a round of applause this week for the launch of its HP Amplify Impact program through which the company will help solution providers embrace diversity and sustainability initiatives.

The new program offers learning opportunities on diversity and sustainability, including around issues such as climate change, social justice and the digital divide. Amplify Impact also aims to show how partners can differentiate themselves in the market – including acquiring new business and talent – by demonstrating their values.

Amplify Impact is voluntary and free for Amplify partners. HP hopes to enroll half of Amplify partners in the program by 2025.

HCL Technologies Marks $10B Milestone With Employee Bonuses

Global systems integrator HCL Technologies wins a shoutout this week with its announcement that with the company’s passing of the $10 billion revenue mark in 2020 the company is giving each employee a bonus equivalent to 10 days salary.

This week, HCL said revenue in 2020 surpassed $10 billion, up from $6 billion in 2015. In gratitude to its employees for their contribution to that achievement, every one of the company’s 159,000 employees worldwide (with at least one year of service) will receive the bonus.

HCL has emerged as a fast-growing IT services behemoth with a focus on next-generation technologies.
