30 Notable IT Executive Moves: March 2024

TPx, Microsoft, Skyhigh Security, Snowflake, Salesforce and Ingram Micro were among the tech companies making key executive hires and moves during March 2024.

CEOs at TPx, Microsoft’s new AI organization and Skyhigh Security were some of the biggest executive moves last month.

Shaun Andrews, formerly of Lumen Technologies; Mustafa Suleyman, formerly of Inflection AI; and Vishal Rao, formerly of Snow Software, are some of the executives to make major moves in March.

March Tech Exec Moves

Snowflake, Salesforce and Ingram Micro were among the other tech giants to make executive moves during the month as companies invest in resources for sales, technology and partners.

Those executives were:

All the hiring comes despite multiple tech giants cutting their employee rosters. But multiple vendors and solution providers are looking to AI and other technology advancements as potential sparks for business IT spending.

Jason Hinds

Jason Hinds joined Snowflake in March, taking on the role of vice president of sales engineering.

Hinds came to the Bozeman, Mont.-based data cloud computing vendor after more than four years with Google, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Google with the title of managing director cloud customer engineering, leading the North America region.

His resume includes more than 12 years on and off with Microsoft. He left the vendor most recently in 2019 with the title of senior director responsible for the Azure business for the U.S. Central and West regions for Microsoft Financial Services.

Snowflake is a member of CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Shaun Andrews

Shaun Andrews took the top spot at TPx in March, becoming the company’s CEO.

Andrews joined the Austin, Texas-based company– a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after more than 19 years on and off with Lumen Technologies and its predecessors, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Lumen with the title of executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

His resume includes about two years with Intelepeer. He left the company in 2012 with the title of general manager.

Ally Legend Siegel

Ally Legend Siegel returned to Salesforce in March to take on the role of senior vice president and chief equality officer.

Siegel previously worked at the San Francisco-based customer relationship management (CRM) vendor for more then six years, leaving in 2022 with the title of senior director for equality engagement, according to her LinkedIn account.

Before returning to Salesforce, she worked at Expedia Group for about two years, leaving with the title of vice president and global head of diversity and inclusion (D&I).

Salesforce has more than 11,000 partners worldwide, according to the vendor.

Eric Tapia

Ingram Micro hired Eric Tapia as a senior vice president of global commercial finance in March.

Tapia came to the Irvine, Calif.-based distributor after about three years with autonomous trucking technology company TuSimple, according to his LinkedIn account. He left TuSimple with the title of SVP and chief financial officer.

His resume includes about 12 years with industrial supplies company Grainger. He left the company in 2021 with the title of vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer.

Ingram Micro has about 160,000 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Mustafa Suleyman

Microsoft brought on Mustafa Suleyman in March as executive vice president and CEO of the newly formed Microsoft AI organization.

Suleyman came to the Redmond, Wash.-based tech giant after about two years as CEO of Inflection AI, which he co-founded in 2022, according to his LinkedIn account.

He previously co-founded DeepMind in 2010, sold the company to Google in 2014 and left Google in 2022 to co-found Inflection.

Microsoft has about 400,000 channel partners worldwide, according to the vendor. It is a member of CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Vishal Rao

Vishal Rao became the new CEO of Skyhigh Security in March, succeeding Gee Rittenhouse.

Rao came to the San Jose, Calif.-based security vendor after about eight years with Snow Software, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Snow with the title of president and CEO.

His resume includes leadership positions at Cloudera and Splunk during the companies’ initial public offerings (IPOs). He left Cloudera in 2018 after about three years with the company. He left Splunk in 2015 after about five years with the company.

He left Cloudera with the title of senior video president of field operations and Splunk with the title of vice president of worldwide field sales, according to his LinkedIn account.

About 99 percent of Skyhigh’s overall sales come through indirect channel and alliance relationships, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Hope Galley

Hope Galley joined Juniper Networks in March, taking on the role of vice president of channel sales for the Americas.

Galley came to the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based networking vendor after more than 23 years with Cisco, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Cisco with the title of global Meraki sales senior director for routes to market.

Juniper is a member of CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Thomas Zacharia

In March, Thomas Zacharia became the senior vice president of strategic technical partnerships and public policy at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Zacharia joined the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker after about 35 years with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, according to an AMD statement.

He left Oak Ridge with the title of laboratory director, a position he held for more than five years, according to his LinkedIn account.

AMD has about 675 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs

Heidi Holter

ServiceNow hired Heidi Holter as senior vice president of global total rewards in March.

Holter came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based digital workflows vendor after more than 15 years with Apple, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Apple with the title of head of global compensation.

ServiceNow has about 2,200 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Donnie Parish

In March, Donnie Parish joined General Dynamics IT as vice president of strategic operations for Indian Health Service (IHS).

In this role, he “will be supporting the Indian Health Service Health IT Modernization initiative,” according to a post on LinkedIn.

Parish came to the Falls Church, Va.-based GDIT – No. 13 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about 20 years with Cherokee Nation Health. He left Cherokee with the title of chief information officer, according to his LinkedIn account.

Gee Rittenhouse

Amazon Web Services hired Gee Rittenhouse in March as a vice president leading AWS Enterprise Security Services.

Rittenhouse joined the Seattle-based cloud giant after about two years as CEO of Skyhigh Security, according to his LinkedIn account.

His resume includes about eight years with Cisco. He left the vendor in 2021 with the title of senior vice president and general manager of the security business group.

AWS is a member of CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs. It has more than 130,000 partners worldwide.

Tim Lasonde

In March, Syncro hired Tim Lasonde as its channel chief.

Lasonde came to the Seattle-based MSP business platform vendor after about three years with Methods Machine Tools, according to his LinkedIn account. He left the company with the title of IT director.

He also worked at Focus Technology Solutions and NSK for about 20 years. He became president and chief operating officer at NSK in 2010 and guided the company through its 2017 sale to Focus. He left Focus in 2021 with the title of senior vice president of managed services.

Syncro has more than 4,000 MSP partners, according to the vendor.

Gary Steele

Cisco closed on its acquisition of Splunk in March, moving former Splunk President and CEO Gary Steele into the role of Cisco executive vice president and general manager of Splunk.

Steele joined the San Jose, Calif.-based networking giant after about two years at the helm of Splunk, according to his LinkedIn account.

He came to Splunk after more than 19 years as CEO of Proofpoint, according to his LinkedIn account.

About 90 percent of Cisco’s overall sales come through indirect channel and alliance relationships, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Brian Lanigan

SentinelOne hired Brian Lanigan in March, giving him the title of senior vice president of global partner ecosystems.

Lanigan joined the Mountain View, Calif.-based security vendor after about two years with Lacework, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Lacework with the title of vice president of worldwide channels and alliances.

His resume includes about nine years with Splunk. He left the company in 2022 with the title of group vice president for the global system integrator (GSI), system integrator (SI) and MSP routes to market (RTM).

SentinelOne has about 6,400 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Mike Burgard

Mike Burgard became chief operating officer of Rewst in March.

Burgard joined the Tampa, Fla.-based MSP automation tools vendor after less than a year with Evolving Solutions, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Evolving with the title of chief information security officer.

His resume includes more than seven years with Marco Technologies. He left the solution provider in 2023 with the title of chief information officer.

Rewst has about 500 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Xavi Amatriain

Xavi Amatriain joined Google as vice president of product for core machine learning and artificial intelligence, “leading strategy and product roadmap for the AI platform that powers all of Google products,” according to his LinkedIn account.

Amatriain came to the Mountain View, Calif.-based cloud giant after more than a year at Microsoft-owned LinkedIn. He left LinkedIn with the title of VP of product AI strategy.

Google Cloud is a member of CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs. It has more than 100,000 partners worldwide.

Prakash Rajamani

In March, Prakash Rajamani joined Palo Alto Networks, taking on the role of vice president of product management for cloud management and AI operations (AIOps).

Rajamani came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based security vendor after more than 20 years with Cisco, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Cisco with the title of senior director of product management for customer experience.

Palo Alto Networks has about 15,000 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.

Ashley Flaska

Ashley Flaska joined Zones in March, taking on the role of vice president of marketing, according to her LinkedIn account.

Flaska came to the Auburn, Wash.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after about seven years with audio-visual (AV) distributor Exertis Almo and Stampede. Exertis bought Stampede in 2019 and then bought Almo in 2021, becoming Exertis Almo.

She left Exertis Almo with the title of marketing VP.

John Kuhn

Cyderes hired a new vice president of security services in March – John Kuhn.

Kuhn came to the Toronto-based company – No. 85 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after more than 16 years with IBM, according to his LinkedIn account. He left IBM with the title of global cybersecurity delivery director for IBM Consulting.

He joined IBM in 2007 as a senior internet security analyst, according to his LinkedIn account.

Mark Bradley

Mark Bradley joined Conduent in March, taking on the role of vice president of health care sales.

Bradley came to the Florham Park, N.J.-based company – No. 22 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about five years with Advantasure, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Advantasure with the title of health care platform solutions and business-process-as-a-service (BPaaS) outsourced services sales director.

His resume includes about a year with Payspan. He left in 2019 with the title of vice president of sales for western region health plans.

Owen Morris

Owen Morris became the chief financial officer of CyrusOne in March.

Morris joined the Dallas-based company – No. 40 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about five years with United Surgical Partners International, accordingto his LinkedIn account. He left United with the CFO title.

His resume includes about 12 years with Goldman Sachs. Morris left Goldman with the title of managing director in 2019.

Mike Flanagan

Mike Flanagan returned to Compucom in March, becoming the company’s global chief information officer.

Flanagan joined the Fort Mill, S.C.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after about eight years with Computacenter and Pivot Technology Solutions, according to his LinkedIn account.

Computacenter bought Pivot in 2020. He left Computacenter with the title of senior vice president of group development and North America chief technology officer.

He spent about 20 years with Compucom previously, leaving the MSP in 2016 with the title of vice president of end user enablement services and strategic direction, according to his LinkedIn account.

Jake Kaldenbaugh

Jake Kaldenbaugh joined DoiT International in March as its vice president of corporate development and investments.

Kaldenbaugh came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after about three years with Accenture, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Accenture with the title of managing director and global Palo Alto Networks practice lead.

His resume includes about three years with GrowthPoint Technology Partners. He left the firm as a technology mergers and acquisitions (M&A) banker.

Mathew Shuster

iVision hired Mathew Shuster as vice president of consulting services in March, according to a LInkedIn post

Shuster came to the Atlanta-based company – a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after about two years with SHI’s Stratascale, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Stratescale with the title of managing director of architecture for digital cloud solutions.

His resume includes about a year with Ahead. Shuster left the solution provider in 2021 with the title of solution architects director for the West division.

Sean Jensen

Acuative brought on Sean Jensen in March as its chief revenue officer.

Jensen joined the Fairfield, N.J.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 – after more than eight years with DXC Technology, according to his LinkedIn account. He left the company with a “senior leadership role responsible for leading the Americas Engineering & Applications business, a $1.6B business unit.”

His resume includes about five years with Prolifics. He left the company in 2015 with the title of Southeast U.S. sales leader.

Rodwin Hamlin

Celigo has a new senior vice president of partnerships and corporate development – Rodwin Hamlin.

Hamlin joined the Redwood City, Calif.-based company – No. 298 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about three years with H20.ai, according to his LinkedIn account. He left H20 with the title of SVP of global business development and general manager of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

His resume includes about a year with Silk. Hamlin left the company in 2021 with the title of VP of global business development.

Sean Voice

In March, HighPoint brought on Sean Voice as vice president of sales for the U.S.

Voice joined the Sparta, N.J.-based company – No. 118 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after more than seven years with Trace3 and Data Strategy, accordingto his LinkedIn account. He left Trace3 with the title of vice president of sales for East majors. Trace3 bought Data Strategy in 2018.

His resume includes about a year with Presidio. He left the company in 2017 with the title of sales director.

Kristi Cunningham

Kristi Cunningham became U.S. chief technology officer at Kyndryl in March.

Cunningham came to the New York-based company – No. 8 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about two years with Accenture, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Accenture with the title of global and North America financial services lead and managing director.

Her resume includes about 23 years with Capital One. She left Capital One with the title of vice president of enterprise data management.

Chris Karney

In March, Chris Karney returned to Capgemini, becoming the company’s vice president and Intelligent Supply Chain Operations (ISCO) Americas lead, according to a LinkedIn post.

Karney came to the France-based company – No. 3 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – after about four years with Accenture, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Accenture with the title of managing director of supply chain operations.

He previously worked at Capgemini for about three years, leaving in 2016 with the title of North American supply chain practice principal.

Tonia Bleecher

Tonia Bleecher became a senior vice president and division leader at ICF in March.

Bleecher joined the Reston, Va.-based solution provider – whose vendor partners include Salesforce, AWS and Microsoft – after more than four years with Ventech Solutions, accordingto her LinkedIn account. She left Ventech with the title of CEO.

Her resume includes about five years with Truven Health Analytics and IBM Watson Health. She left IBM Watson Health in 2018 with the title of SVP and general manager for the federal business. IBM bought Truven in 2016 for $2.6 billion.
