20 IT Companies Hiring In The Channel: May 2023

Pax8, Mimecast, Align and Presidio are among the companies to list open positions this month for channel-related roles.

This month, Presidio, LeadingIT and Align are among the solution providers to list open positions while Pax8 and Mimecast are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.

These are among the open positions this month for channel-related roles, according to listing on the LinkedIn social media network.

As technology vendors shed tens of thousands of jobs, citing a decrease in demand since the height of the pandemic plus growing inflation in the U.S., CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring new talent into the channel— either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel

Open roles include:

*A security ecosystem influencer at Pax8

*A “million dollar producer” at LeadingIT

*A global partner marketing vice president at Mimecast

Here are some of the latest job openings for the channel.

Pax8

Pax8 has multiple listings on LinkedIn for jobs that interact with and affect the channel.

Open roles at the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based IT distributor include:

*A security ecosystem influencer making at least $170,000 – candidates should have at least eight years of cybersecurity experience and be prepared to create engaging and informative content for solution providers

*A channel events specialist making at least $60,000 – candidates should have at least two years of marketing and sales experience and at least three years of event marketing or production experience

*A senior software engineer making at least $135,000 – candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience and be prepared to develop, test, deploy and improve software for solution providers

*A level two data engineer making at least $115,000 – candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience and be prepared to design and develop systems for collecting, storing and managing data for solution provider customers

*A director of security operations making at least $175,000 – candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in SecOps and be prepared for working with people at manages services providers (MSPs), small and midsize businesses (SMBs) and mid-market businesses

Pax8 has about 24,000 channel partners worldwide, about 20,000 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Infinidat

Infinidat has an open job listing for a channel manager for the western United States making between $127,490 and $162,500, according to LinkedIn.

The Waltham, Mass.-based storage platforms vendor seeks candidates with at least five years of technical experience and a “strong channel background,” according to the listing.

The hire will describe Infinidat products on customer and channel partner presentations and white-boarding sessions. The hire will “manage channel partners’ expectations and submit enhancements in conjunction with Technical Advisors,” according to the listing.

The hire will also “teach channel partners how to conduct conversations at the executive layer and convey our solution’s technical and business merits to the relevant parties” along with helping “partners bridge internal customer gaps and adversarial/disparate groups within the customer organization and win them over to our solution.”

Infinidat has about 500 worldwide channel partners, 300 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Rapid7

Rapid7 has a couple of open positions that interact with the channel, according to LinkedIn.

The Boston-based security vendor seeks a commercial sales manager who “is responsible for a team of sellers covering Central customers in the USA” and “supported by sales engineers, a channel team, business strategy and enablement, marketing and product team,” according to the listing.

The hire will leverage “channel partners and the broader security community” for growing the company, according to the listing.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience in a quota-carrying software sales role and in a sales management role.

Another open Rapid7 position is for a senior channel account manager. The manager will work toward “partner attainment against annual goals and milestones, managing over +30% growth for a dedicated territory,” according to the listing.

This hire reports to the director of North America channel sales and will work “to align Partner and Rapid7 go-to-market engagement and business planning.” The job includes travel about 30 percent of the time.

Candidates should have at least four years of channel management experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Rapid7 has about 800 worldwide channel partners, about 300 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Virtana

LinkedIn shows an open position for a channel account manager at Virtana.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based cloud cost management and forecasting tools vendor seeks candidates with at least five years of channel manager experience, according to the listing.

The hire will “help grow our channel business by signing, enabling and managing partners in” Eastern North America. Partners include MSPs, SIs and resellers, according to the listing. The hire reports to the vice president of channels and alliances.

The hire “will act as a trusted advisor and guide partners on how to take advantage of the opportunities in (hybrid) Cloud Management while accelerating partner revenue via enablement, sales support and program execution.”

Virtana has about 240 worldwide channel partners, about 160 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Axcient

Axcient has a couple of channel-facing open roles available, according to LinkedIn.

The Denver-based backup and disaster recovery services provider for MSPs seeks a vice president of marketing making between $180,000 and $220,000 a year, according to the listing.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of marketing experience and experience. The hire will “focus on lead generation, product marketing, and executing in the MSP space,” overseeing the entire marketing department.

The hire will report to the CEO and lead digital marketing campaigns and manage public relations and media, among other responsibilities, according to the listing.

Axcient also seeks a sales development representative making at least $70,000 a year.

Candidates should have the ability to commute to downtown Denver and “generate a pipeline of sales opportunities through inbound and outbound sales generated lead campaigns, as well as other activities,” according to the listing.

The hire will “constantly identify and proactively qualify new channel partners for Axcient, utilizing external sources of channel data” and “collaborate with Axcient Inside Channel Account Managers and prospective partners to manage prospect activity.”

The hire will “qualify prospects by establishing their profiles and product needs and then handing them over to an Inside Channel Account Manager,” according to the listing.

In CRN’s 2022 Channel Chiefs, Axcient reported about 2,600 worldwide channel partners with about 2,400 in North America.

Mimecast

Mimecast has some listings for open roles that interact with the channel, according to LinkedIn.

The England-based security vendor’s open positions include:

*A team lead for senior commercial customer development – the hire will work with Mimecast’s partner and channel development team “to develop and execute against account plans” and work with channel partners to develop leads for the sales pipeline

*An enterprise account executive – candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of IT and software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales experience, especially experience selling through channel partners

*A senior manager for global distribution programs – candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in program management and at least five years of experience in partner and distribution program management

*A global partner marketing vice president – candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) software marketing and at least eight years of experience leading global partner marketing teams

About 95 percent of Mimecast’s overall sales come through the channel, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Aisera

Aisera has a couple of channel-focused job posts on LinkedIn.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based generative AI and automation services vendor has a listing for a partner account manager for MSPs.

Candidates should have at least three years of MSP sales experience and a bachelor’s degree, according to the listing.

The hire will join the partner sales team and manage MSP partners, “building relationships with them, and ultimately increasing their Aisera revenue.” The hire will report to the vice president of partners and alliances.

The hire “will be the main point of contact for target number of both established and newly signed MSPs” and “work closely with cross functional teams such as Sales, Product and Customer Success to ensure partners are experiencing excellent product outcomes and able to grow with Aisera,” according to the listing.

Aisera also has a listing for a partner development representative (PDR). Candidates should have at least two years of experience in business development and sales development plus a year of working with partners and in partner recruitment, according to the listing.

The PDR will “recruit new partners to our channel ecosystem and support existing partners in improving certain aspects of their Aisera practice,” according to the listing. The PDR “will work closely with prospective partner companies, helping them understand the value of our solution.

Logicworks

Logiworks has a listing on LinkedIn for a senior alliances manager for the Central and West regions making at least $120,000.

The New York-based cloud cloud resiliency, reliability and automation products vendor seeks candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in “nurturing and managing strategic partnerships at the field level preferably in the software, Cloud provider, managed services, or systems integration space,” according to the listing.

The hire will align Logicworks and “our portfolio of strategic alliance partners such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, channel partners, and ISVs.”

The hire “will drive top-of-funnel growth and pipeline acceleration with these partners by effectively positioning the value of our joint solutions to prospects and bringing Logicworks into qualified opportunities, programs, sales plays, and field level initiatives,” according to the listing.

The hire is assessed based on quarterly objectives and number of leads generated, with commissions available on deals closed from leads sourced by the hire.

About 60 percent of Logicworks’ overall sales come through the channel, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Snowflake

Snowflake has multiple channel-facing listings on LinkedIn.

The data cloud computing vendor’s open roles include:

*Senior sales engineer making at least $182,250 in base pay – the hire “will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business”

*Bid management technical writer making at least $106,000 – the hire “will work directly with the sales team, channel partners, product marketing, and product managers to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning bid cycles, provide compelling value-based narratives, and ultimately close business”

*Senior data cloud architect with a data science focus making at least $177,000 – the hire “help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share among Snowflake SI Partners”

Snowflake is based in Bozeman, Mont.

LinearB

LinkedIn shows a listing for a partner and alliances manager at LinearB.

The developer workflow automation vendor seeks candidates with at least three years of experience in channel partner management, according to the listing.

The hire “will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, providing training and enablement to ensure success, and working across different geographies to drive sales pipeline,” according to the listing.

The hire will “build and execute a comprehensive channel partner program, from identifying potential partners to onboarding and training them on our products and services.”

LinearB is based in Los Angeles.

Empist

Empist has multiple listings for open positions on LinkedIn.

The Chicago-based MSP has listings for:

*Security analyst – candidates should have at least three years of information security experience, including experience with computer network vulnerability penetration testing and techniques

*Service desk engineer – candidates should have at least two years of desktop and help desk support experience and a bachelor’s degree

*IT managed services salesperson – candidates should have at least three years of experience in IT consulting or managed services selling and a four-year college degree

Proper Sky

Proper Sky has a couple of job listings on LinkedIn.

The Glenside, Pa.-based MSP seeks a tier two senior help desk technician. Candidates should have experience in local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), subnetting, routing, firewalls and other basic networking technologies, plus knowledge of Windows systems, virtualization technologies and cloud technologies, according to the listing.

Proper Sky also seeks a project engineer. The hire will be “local, customer-facing, in-house project engineer to help us deliver beautiful tech on-time and on-budget,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have experience in creating, writing and following documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking time, planning projects and failovers and Google Workspace, among other technologies and practices, according to the listing.

Align

Align has multiple job listings on LinkedIn.

The New York-based MSP has listings for:

*A project manager for data center design and build of the physical layer – candidates should have at least five years of experience in data center facilities and data center build-outs and relocations

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in IT support and help desk. The shift is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. out of the network operations center (NOC) in Frisco.

The hire will have to assist project managers with statement of work (SOW) creation and migrate Windows Server workloads to Azure Cloud and private data centers, among other tasks, according to the listing.

The solution provider has a listing for a tier three service desk adviser making at least $75,000.

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in IT support and help desk and work from the Frisco NOC, according to the listing.

The hire will work on end-to-end IT infrastructure support, resolve end-user technical issues, support tier one and tier two engineers, and troubleshoot errors with devices, servers, operating systems and software.

WaveStrong

WaveStrong seeks a sales director, according to LinkedIn.

The San Ramon, Calif.-based MSP wants job candidates with at least 10 years of experience in information security services sales, risk and compliance and building complex multi-year sales around hardware, software and financing, according to the listing.

The hire will focus on selling WaveStrong professional services, managed security services and security product solutions to named accounts within a given geographic territory. The hire may have to travel up to 30 percent of the time within the region.
