Mimecast Channel Chief Corini Exits

CRN has reached out to Corini and Mimecast for comment. It was not immediately clear when is Corini’s final day with the company.

Corini thanked and tagged various Mimecast executives in his post, including CEO and co-founder Peter Bauer; Ned D’Antonio, senior director for global managed service provider (MSP) strategy; Nikki Downing, director of global channel programs and strategic projects; Piper Hyman, director of global channel operations and Dino DiMarino, former Mimecast chief revenue officer and current Snyk CRO.

By Monday afternoon, his post had received more than 170 reactions and more than 28 comments.

Commenters included Mimecast employees; Farokh Karani, a partner manager at Fortra and former Quick Heal channel chief; Marco Albano, vice president of channel sales at Netsurion and Mimecast’s former director of MSP channel for North America; Ryan Brichant, global vice president and chief technology officer at Exabeam and Marco Di Pasquale, Cipher’s vice president of North America.

Corini joined Mimecast in 2020 after more than three years with Forescout Technologies, according to his LinkedIn account. He left the company with the title of vice president of worldwide channel sales. In this role, he managed “all aspects of our Global Partner Landscape and Partner Program.”

He previously worked at Tanium for more than two years, according to his LinkedIn account. Corini left the company in 2017 with the title of director of strategic accounts for financial services. In this role, he managed six named global financial accounts.

His resume includes more than six years with McAfee and Intel Security, as the company was previously named, according to his LinkedIn account. He left the company in 2015 with the title of director for the Northeast channel and the Caribbean.

Corini is the latest executive change for the vendor, which was bought in May by British private equity firm Permira for $5.8 billion in cash.

In November, Mimecast announced Norman Guadagno as its new chief marketing officer, replacing Bernd Leger.

Other channel executive leader departures at Mimecast include Kurt Mills, who left the company in October after more than three years. He was Mimecast’s vice president of channel sales and is now head of global system integrator sales at Check Point, according to his LinkedIn account.

John Noha, Mimecast director of strategic partners, and Pino Soro, Mimecast chief of staff and senior vice president of business transformation and corporate operations — both of whom have made appearances on CRN’s Channel Chiefs lists in recent years — are still with the company, according to their LinkedIn accounts.
