SADA Systems CEO Tony Safoian is bullish about hiring Rackspace’s “ambitious leader” Peter FitzGibbon to lead SADA’s professional services charge for the Google Cloud channel superstar.

“It’s with the utmost pride and excitement that I introduce to you SADA’s newly minted VP of professional services, Peter FitzGibbon!” said Safoian in a LinkedIn post Wednesday. “We looked far and wide and found the most experienced, capable, culturally aligned, ambitious leader we could find for this most important role here.”

FitzGibbon left Rackspace as its vice president of professional services business to join Google Cloud channel standout SADA as its new vice president of professional services.

At Racksapce, FitzGibbon was responsible for delivering consulting and professional services throughout the U.S., Canada and Lantin America markets. During his five-year stint at Rackspace, he also held the role of general manager for Rackspace’s application business including ERP, CRM and software resale.

Notably, FitzGibbon was also a top executive at Accenture with a career spanning over 13 years at the solution provider giant.

He could not be reached for comment by press time. “Delighted to be part of the team,” said FitzGibbon in a LinkedIn post.

“To the delight of our customers, and the pleasure of all of the Googlers we work with to drive real impact together—CHEERS to this exciting new chapter!” Safoian wrote in his LinkedIn post highlighting FitzGibbon.

SADA’s Google Cloud Charge

The hiring of FitzGibbon comes as SADA continues to double down on its Google Cloud business.

The North Hollywood, Calif.-based company has won several Google Cloud partner awards over the years, as well as recently achieving the Data Management Partner Specialization in the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program this year.

In December, SADA acquired ByteWave Digital, a Google Cloud channel partner based in India in a move to expand its Google business more globally. ByteWave specializes in helping customers adopt, build, migrate and run enterprise business solutions on Google Cloud and Google Workspace.

CEO Safoian told CRN last year that the company’s big bet on Google propelled SADA to $1 billion in bookings. The cloud MSP sold off its Microsoft business in 2019 to focus exclusively on Google.

In addition, SADA is piloting a program with Intel to help Google Cloud customers optimize their hybrid and multi-cloud workloads and compute spending.

Many of SADA’s more than 500 employees cheered the hiring of FitzGibbon via LinkedIn.

“This is a huge win for SADA,” said Kyle Moschetto, director of solutions architecture at SADA, in a LinkedIn post. “Peter’s depth, breadth and experience are exactly what we need for the next phase of our services growth. I cannot be more excited to work for Peter and learn from his mentorship!”

SADA made CRN’s 2022 Elite 150 of its MSP 500 list, which identifies the leading and most innovative MSPs in North America.
