Broadcom’s VMware Partner Program New Details: 10 Big Things To Know
From new details about deal registration, renewal protection and VCF requirements to new partner dashboards, here are 10 key details about the revamped Broadcom Advantage Partner Program that every VMware partner needs to know.
After rolling out its revamped Broadcom Advantage Partner Program for VMware partners in November, the tech giant is now providing new details around deal registration, renewal protection, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) certification requirements and partner deadlines.
The $64 billion Palo Alto, Calif.-based company also unveiled new dashboards, free training and program simplifications for partners selling in different countries.
With the launch of the new program, VMware by Broadcom partners are now evaluated through a points-based system that measures not only transactions, but also certifications, resource investment and services expertise.
“By leaning into the private cloud opportunity with VMware Cloud Foundation at the core, partners who invest deeply in Broadcom, build advanced architectural capability, complete role-based certifications, and deliver consistent end-to-end customer outcomes, will unlock greater rewards, differentiated benefits, and higher profitability across the program,” said Broadcom in a recent blog post.

Here are 10 new key elements, features and program requirements inside the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program that every VMware partner needs to know.
VMware Deal Renewal Protection
As VMware renewals shift into deal registration for VCF and VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF), partners will secure renewal protection by demonstrating customer adoption and skills.
This means deal registration will be approved based on value indicators such as technical capability, architecture and implementation skills, customer adoption proof and services capability.
“This ensures that renewals are led by the partner actively driving value, not just the reseller of record,” Broadcom said. “This value-based model ensures customers receive support from the most qualified, capable partner, and enables partners who are truly driving customer outcomes to be rewarded.”

Deal Registration Approvals
One key change is how Broadcom’s deal registration program now evaluates approvals based on value-based criteria and platform adoption actions.
This means deal registration approvals are based around how much a partner can prove it is helping customers with adoption, consumption and business outcomes—not simply the partner tied to the last purchase order.
It is also based on ongoing architecture, deployment and optimization services around VCF.
Tiered Discounting For Deal Registration
Broadcom has introduced a tiered-based discounting structure for deal registration.
There are currently three tiers inside the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program: Select, Premier and Pinnacle, with Pinnacle being the top tier.
Broadcom said this structure incentivizes partners—regardless of size—to be highly skilled in pre- and post-sales for customers, and not just the transaction.
Partners Required To Have VCF 9 Certifications
Broadcom said, “Pinnacle, Premier and Select partners are also now required to have a minimum number of VCF 9 certifications by these roles to showcase their investment in developing a foundational VCF practice.”
Broadcom has shifted to role-based certifications focused on sales, presales, architecture and implementation.
Business planning templates are now integrated into the portal, with Pinnacle and Premier partners required to submit annual operating plans aligned with Broadcom sales teams.
April 2026 Deadline
Broadcom said it will recognize VCF 9.0 certifications only for program point eligibility in the current program cycle.
Partners will now have until the end of April 2026 to meet these requirements for the next evaluation period.
Pinnacle Partners Must Achieve Expert Advantage Status
VMware partners that want to achieve the top Pinnacle tier are now required to achieve Expert Advantage status.
“Broadcom has published minimum revenue requirements for Expert Advantage partners, requiring partners to demonstrate existing services expertise,” Broadcom said.
The program offers two Expert Advantage levels: EAPP and EAPP+.
Partners earn 100 points for EAPP and 200 points for EAPP+ that get captured into their capability bucket.
Free Training
Broadcom now offers free training to all partners enrolled in the program.
Pinnacle partners will receive unlimited certification vouchers, while Premier partners will get 10 vouchers.
The program also recognizes resource investment by providing points for dedicated resources and driving VCF services business.
New Dashboards
Broadcom has built a new performance dashboard to provide partners with an integrated view of bookings, renewals, certifications, rebate eligibility and earnings data—all in one unified interface dashboard.
In addition, a new leveling dashboard is also available for partners to track their tier progression in real time.
Broadcom is also introducing a new Partner Journey Module that offers role-based prescribed learning paths for partner sales, presales, architects and implementation specialists.
Broadcom’s Achievers Program Now Exclusively For VCF Sales
Broadcom’s Achievers program will now be available exclusively for VCF sales.
The program aims to provide solution providers and distributors with the opportunity to earn back-end rebates to enhance their profitability and drive joint go-to-market execution.
Regional Simplification
Broadcom-VMware partners that operate across multiple countries within a region can now leverage a “Hierarchy” functionality that will combine points across entities and maintain one tier level per region.
This helps partners not have to manage separate requirements for each country they do business in.
“This simplification makes it easier for regional partners to do business with Broadcom and unlock maximum program benefits,” Broadcom said.
Partners Will Be Evaluated Every Six Months
The revamped Broadcom Advantage Partner Program will evaluate each partner’s performance bi-annually in the months of May and November.
“This cadence, combined with ongoing business planning for Pinnacle and Premier partners and sales team scorecarding, ensures continuous alignment between Broadcom and its partner ecosystem,” Broadcom said.
Overall, Broadcom will focus on five core principles for VMware parters with the biggest being rewarding partners for driving a successful end-to-end VCF practice.
The other four principles include building recurring business models throughout the customer life cycle, unlocking all the capabilities inside VCF 9.0 for customers, delivering client outcomes and leading with services at scale.
