AWS Vs. Microsoft Vs. Google Cloud Earnings Q4 2025 Face-Off

Here’s the Q4 2025 earning results comparison for cloud revenue, sales growth rates, operating income and parent company for AWS, Microsoft and Google Cloud.

The financial earnings results are in for the world’s three largest cloud companies Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft, whose combined cloud sales exceeded $86 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

AWS now has a $142 billion annual run rate (ARR), followed by Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud group with a $131 billion ARR, then Google Cloud with a $71 billion ARR.

All three cloud giants recently reported their earnings results for Q4 2025 with AWS, Microsoft and Google Cloud all breaking quarterly cloud revenue records.

Azure Vs. AWS Vs. GCP Faceoff

Google Cloud, Microsoft and AWS earnings for fourth quarter of 2025 are mostly based off total sales from each of the company’s flagship platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud.

All three cloud leaders constantly launch new AI technology inside Azure, GCP and AWS, which means reported cloud sales include sales from AI products.

Microsoft does not make public its exact Azure revenue figures. Instead, Azure sales are included inside Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud group, which also includes server products and other non-Azure cloud services.

Here are the financial earnings for AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloudfor the fourth quarter of 2025 that every customer, investor and partner should know.

Fourth Quarter Total Sales/Annual Run Rate

AWS: $35.6 Billion/$142 Billion

Microsoft: $32.9 Billion/$131 Billion

Google Cloud: $17.7 Billion/$71 Billion

AWS generated $35.6 billion in total sales for Q4 2025. The Seattle-based company’s annual run rate (ARR) is now $142 billion.

Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud business generated $32.9 billion in revenue during the quarter, with the unit’s ARR now standing at $131 billion.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Google Cloud reported $17.7 billion in total cloud sales for fourth quarter 2025. Google’s cloud business now has an ARR of $71 billion.

Fourth Quarter Sales Growth Year Over Year

Google Cloud: 48 percent

Microsoft: 29 percent

AWS: 24 percent

Google Cloud saw a huge increase in customer demand as revenues increased by a whopping 48 percent year over year to $17.7 billion. Google said the growth was led by an increase in GCP across enterprise AI Infrastructure and enterprise AI Solutions, as well as core GCP products.

Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud business grew 29 percent year over year to nearly $33 billion. Microsoft Azure and other cloud services revenue increased 39 percent year over year.

AWS’ reported a 24 percent year over year sales growth rate by generating $35.6 billion in revenue. The 24 percent growth represents the largest year-over-year increase from the company in 13 quarters.

Fourth Quarter Operating Income

Microsoft: $13.9 billion

AWS: $12.5 billion

Google Cloud: $5.3 Billion

Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud business reported operating income of $13.9 billion for the quarter, up from $10.8 billion year over year.

AWS’ $12.5 billion in operating income for Q4 2025 represents a growth increase of 17 percent year over year compared to $10.6 billion in Q4 2024.

Google Cloud’s operating income was approximately $5.3 billion, up from $2.1 billion year over year.

AWS Parent Company Results Amazon, Google And Microsoft

Amazon Total Sales: $213 Billion

Amazon Operating Income: $25 Billion

AWS’ parent company Amazon captured $213 billion in revenue during the fourth quarter 2025, up 14 percent compared to $187 billion year over year.

Amazon’s operating income increased to $25 billion in the fourth quarter, compared with $21.2 billion year over year.

“With such strong demand for our existing offerings and seminal opportunities like AI, chips, robotics, and low earth orbit satellites, we expect to invest about $200 billion in capital expenditures across Amazon in 2026, and anticipate strong long-term return on invested capital,” said Amazon CEO and former AWS CEO Andy Jassy during Amazon’s Q4 earnings call.

Google Cloud Parent Company Results

Alphabet Total Sales: $114 Billion

Alphabet Operating Income: $36 Billion

Google Cloud parent company Alphabet generated $114 billion in total revenue during the fourth quarter of 2025, representing an 18 percent sales increase year over year.

Alphabet operating income increased 16 percent year over year to roughly $36 billion.

“Google Cloud ended 2025 at an annual run rate of over $70 billion, representing a wide breadth of customers, driven by demand for AI products,” said Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai during his company’s Q4 2025 earnings report.

“We’re seeing our AI investments and infrastructure drive revenue and growth across the board,” the CEO said. “To meet customer demand and capitalize on the growing opportunities we have ahead of us, our 2026 CapEx investments are anticipated to be in the range of $175 to $185 billion.”

Microsoft Results

Microsoft Total Sales: $81 Billion

Microsoft Operating Income: $38 Billion

Total sales at Microsoft were $81 billion, an increase of 17 percent year over year.

Microsoft’s operating income increased 21 percent year over year to more than $38 billion.

“We are only at the beginning phases of AI diffusion and already Microsoft has built an AI business that is larger than some of our biggest franchises," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella during the company’s earnings report. “We are pushing the frontier across our entire AI stack to drive new value for our customers and partners.”
